mgm grand hotel, cheap hotels in las vegas

There have always been cheap hotels in Las Vegas for the budget-minded traveler, but now that tourist travel to Las Vegas has been shrinking alarmingly because of a weakening economy, even the high-end hotels like the MGM Grand Hotel are offering discounts and big incentives to lure in travelers. For example, the MGM Grand is offering a red-hot summer special that includes a "Flyback" voucher for a $300 airfare credit. The deal works like this: you have to stay for at least two nights at the MGM Grand Hotel (and how tough would that be? I mean c'mon, folks, it's the MGM Grand Hotel!) and also includes a $25 credit for food or entertainment, 15% off on spa services and some of the retail stores within the MGM Grand Hotel, and two (count 'em!) free poolside cocktails. If you're unfamiliar with the term, the Flyback voucher is good for airfare on a second trip to Las Vegas. You have to book between today, July 28th and Sept. 30th of this year. There are blackout dates and restrictions on when you can use the voucher and you have to use it before the end of 2008. Still, even with those caveats, it sounds like a pretty good deal, and you have to book your return stay at the MGM Grand Hotel through the travel agent listed on the certificate. I think the MGM Grand Hotel is one of the classiest places to stay on the Vegas strip so I think this is an excellent incentive.
