One of the coolest attractions in any hotels in Vegas was the Star Trek Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton. Alas, this way-cool attraction, which featured a live, interactive 3-D movie and ride, props from the Star Trek TV show and movies, is no more. Because of financial reasons, this exemplary sci-fi attraction has packed up and beamed off into the infinite. Now I've been to a lot of different hotels in Vegas, and I have to say that among all the hotels in Vegas, this was one of the coolest experiences that I ever had. In addition to the Star Trek ride, the Star Trek experience included an entire mini-mall of Star Trek shops and a replica of Quark's Bar from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine,where you could chow down on Star Trek-influenced dinners and sample drinks like the Warp Core Breach and blue Romulan Ale. Sigh, I'm going to miss that Romulan Ale. Some people like the MGM Grand Hotel or the fancy Bellagio Hotel. But to me, the Star Trek Experience at the Hilton will always be out of this world.
